Friends for Life | Winston, GA Photographer

People come into your life all the time; however, few remain that you can call true friends.

A couple of years ago, I had an opportunity to meet Eric when we attended an Experience Knight alumni reunion in Charleston, SC. Eric, Nicole (another friend) and I traveled to Charleston, hung out all weekend and traveled back to Atlanta. During this time we laughed, told stories, listened to songs that took us back to younger days and formed lasting friendships.

For a year, Eric and I worked together on several sessions and shared our passion for photography. After about a year, Eric announced to me that he was moving back to Tacoma, WA. Wow, talk about a move! I felt like I was losing a good friend. Despite the move, Eric and I have maintained our friendship.

Eric and I always discussed me photographing him, but we just never found the time until he came back to visit in early November. Here are a few of the images that I captured during our session. Enjoy…

Renee, Renee, Renee! What can I say? I absolutely love these images. I had a great time. You made me feel so comfortable on the other side of the camera. I should move back to Atlanta just to get my pictures taken more often…lol…Thank you for making me feel special for a day.

The Pastor and First Lady | Douglasville, GA Photographer

Wow, it’s been a long time since I last blogged. It’s December already. Where did September, October and November go?

Meet Pastor and First Lady B.A. Jenkins. Pastor Jenkins is the pastor of the Old Friendship Baptist Church in Marietta, GA. I met Pastor Jenkins and his lovely wife last year, and we’ve formed a lasting friendship. Pastor Jenkins celebrated his first pastoral anniversary in October, and I had the honor of taking the pictures for the anniversary program. Here are a few of my favorite images from the session.

Family | Douglasville, GA Family Photographer

I just love this family! Why? Because they are my family. Meet my sister Leslie, my brother-in-law Sylvester, my niece Sydney and my nephews Justin, Zachary and Ryan. I had the rare opportunity to photograph my sister’s family. Normally they run from the camera, but this time they were a little more cooperative. To the person that said that photographing your family was hard…you are absolutely correct!

All Smiles | Temple, GA Children’s Photographer

I always look forward to a session with Hamilton, and this time was no exception. I always know that he’s going to have big smiles for me, and he doesn’t disappoint. I’ve had the opportunity to photograph him since birth, and I can’t believe how much he’s grown from one time to the next. At nine months, he was VERY mobile. I couldn’t help but laugh because mom, dad and I were exhausted, and he was good to go. He also stood alone for the very first time during this session. I can’t wait to see what 1 year brings us. Stay tuned. . . .

Sweet, Sweet Baby | Douglasville, GA Children’s Photographer

Several weeks ago I did a blog post about my session wtih little Collins, who had just turned 9 months old. Less than 10 minutes after posting Collin’s sneak peek, I decided to make some routing changes to my blog. BIG MISTAKE! I managed to lose everything. Wow, my session with Collins and all sessions past were gone!

After several weeks of recreating the blog I’ve finally finished. I couldn’t think of a better way to begin the E. Renee Davis Photography blog (take 2) than with a post of sweet Collins. She was such a trooper on the day of our shoot, never crying or whimpering in the heat of a hot summer evening.
